F&A age-proof bathrooms featured in the Telegraph
We are delighted that Fine & Able has been featured in The Daily Telegraph's Saturday cover story 'How to Create a Modern Age-Proof Home'.,
Planning for later life
In this in-depth double page spread, writer Jenny Tucker met retirees that transformed their homes and gained peace of mind, as well as investigated ways to future-proof a home ready for later life.
One couple, Sarah Wrigglesworth and Jeremy Till, both in their mid-sixties, have recently renovated their property in north London to accommodate their older years. Sarah says: "It was no surprise to us we were getting older, but because we want to stay in this house for the rest of our lives, we knew we had to age-proof it...Beautiful design is important but being pragmatic and practical is crucial, too. You must be honest about what support is necessary as you get older".
How to design a beautiful functional bathroom
The article also shared tips and product ideas for good quality third age living, covering the whole house from the garden to the bathroom, and featured Fine & Able.
"If you're looking for peace of mind in retirement, it's worth devoting thought and energy - right now - to where and how you want to live. You can never start the process too soon....The bathroom is probably the most important room in an older person's house. Get it right and life becomes so much easier."
