Project reveal: A multi-generational bathroom for N

This project was all about keeping family together.
After so much time apart from our loved ones this year, how to keep people close and safe is on everyone's mind. How can we make sure our homes are able to flex with us as life changes too - sometimes quickly and unpredictably?
One option is to pool resources and create multi-generational, future-proofed homes, like N and her family. It's a lovely option that’s the ideal solution for some.
Together N's family recently bought a new house and have worked with Fine & Able to adapt it to their specific needs, including everyone from grandparents to grandkids.
Before: The old lounge that became the new bedroom and en-suite
The shower room we worked on was previously a lounge/study. Now it is a downstairs level access bedroom with en-suite for N's parents, designed specifically to work for her mum who uses a wheelchair, catheter and shower chair.

We love the frosted glass sliding door – offering just enough privacy off the bedroom, while keeping the space light, airy and accessible. A lovely touch.
